Getting Started

Welcome to Prevail Prayer — a simple, focused space to build a daily habit of prayer. Here's how to begin.

1. Download & open the app. Get Prevail Prayer from the App Store or Google Play and open it.

2. Create your account. Tap Create Account and enter your name, email, phone number, zip code, and a password (at least 8 characters).

3. Confirm your email. We'll send a confirmation link — tap it, then come back and log in.

4. Start your free trial. Every new account gets 14 days of full Premium, free, with no card required.

Your prayer requests and prayer list are always free, even after the trial ends.

Account & Profile

Manage your details under Settings → Account.

Profile photo: tap your avatar to upload a picture from your phone.
Display name, phone & zip: update anytime and tap Save.
Email: shown for reference; contact support to change it.

Resetting your password

On the login screen tap Forgot password?, enter your email, and follow the link we send to set a new one.

Prayer Requests

Prayer requests are the heart of the app — and completely free.

Add a request: tap the + button, give it a title and optional description, choose a category, and mark it urgent if needed.

Categories help you organize (Family, Church, Healing, and more).
Urgent requests rise to the top so you don't forget them.
Move a request to Answered to celebrate how God responded.

Prayer Timer

Premium Set aside focused, distraction-free time to pray.

Open the Timer and pick a length (5–30 minutes).
Choose an ambient sound — Morning Still, Deep Waters, Holy Grace, or Silence.
Set a bell interval if you'd like gentle chimes, then tap Start Prayer.

You can change the ambient sound or bell interval at any point during your session.

Daily Devotions

Premium A short, Scripture-rooted reading every morning.

Open the app each day to find that day's devotion on your home screen, with a Scripture reference, the verse, a short reflection, and a closing prayer. Tap See all devotions to browse the archive.

On the website, anyone can read today's devotion free — a great way to share it with friends.

Journal

Premium Capture what God is doing.

Tap Journal to write a new entry. Link entries to a prayer request, or just record a reflection. Look back anytime to see God's faithfulness over weeks and months.

Scripture Library

Premium Verses for every season.

Browse Scripture by topic — healing, peace, guidance, faith, and more. Use it during prayer, journaling, or whenever you need a word to stand on.

Reminders

Premium Gentle nudges to pray.

Create a reminder: go to Settings → General Reminders, tap +, choose Every Day or Weekly, set the time with the time picker, and tap Add.

For weekly reminders, choose which days you'd like to be reminded.
Tap any existing reminder to edit its time or days.
Toggle a reminder off without deleting it, or remove it entirely.

Face ID Lock

Premium Keep your prayers private.

Under Settings, turn on Face ID Lock (or Touch ID on supported devices). The app will then require your face or fingerprint each time you open it or return from the background.

Subscription & Trial

Every new account includes a 14-day free trial of Premium — no card required.

Plans: Monthly ($2.99), Yearly ($24.99), or Lifetime ($49.99, one-time).
Billing is handled by the App Store or Google Play.
Cancel anytime from your device's subscription settings; you keep Premium until the period ends.

Troubleshooting

I didn't get my confirmation email

Check your spam folder. Still nothing? Contact us and we'll help.

My reminder didn't go off

Make sure notifications are enabled for Prevail Prayer in your phone's Settings, and that the reminder is toggled on.

I subscribed but Premium isn't showing

Open Settings and pull to refresh, or restart the app. If it persists, contact support.

How do I delete my account?

Email us from the contact page and we'll remove your account and data.
